About Me
When it came time to choose a career path, it became clear to me that working in the fitness industry was the only option. There were other directions I could have gone that would have been more lucrative or provided more job security but I knew I wanted to help people improve their lives and fitness was the one thing I was passionate about and knew that wouldn’t ever change.
That passion came from the improvements I saw in myself from working out. It started as trying to get stronger for sports and then when sports were over the focus shifted to wanting to look good, like most young men my age. But I soon discovered that there was much more than just a physical benefit to working out. Through tough agonizing workouts I saw my mental toughness get tested and improve as I pushed my physical limits. The discipline I practiced in the gym toward my goals then carried over into other aspects of my life. My confidence and love for myself grew. I can't imagine what my life would be like if it wasn’t for developing that passion.
Now, I want to help others experience those same benefits that I have, all while avoiding the mistakes and pitfalls so many, including myself, have fallen into.
I officially began my career in the fall of 2015 when I got the opportunity to work for Fitness Connection as a trainer. This experience taught me so much more than just a certification could. From learning how to coach a variety of clients all with different goals to also being introduced to the corporate gym environment of fitness for the first time, there was a lot that helped me grow into a better trainer.
Then, I transitioned to a much smaller facility in Snap Fitness. This allowed me to create closer relationships with the members and people I trained. It also gave me a chance to learn how a small business is operated and managed.
When I was hired at LifeTime it felt like I got called up to the big leagues so to speak. They were by far the biggest company I had worked for and had much more structure set in place. While working here, I got to train alongside some of the best and smartest trainers I have met. It forced me to grow in new ways from an educational standpoint but also I was interacting with more people on a daily basis than I had before. My experience helped me build up the confidence in my abilities needed to train people on my own.
